Serbian Pilaf

  Serbian pilaf rice is a combination of many vegetables resulting in beautiful color and very nutritious food that goes so simple and with a piece of meat.

Ingredients:



  • 1 large onion
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 parsnip
  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 green pepper
  • a handful of peas
  • some mushrooms
  • 2 cups rice
  • 2-3 tomatoes or canned tomatoes in soup 
  • salt, pepper, parsley
  • chicken broth or water


Preparation:

   Cook onion in oil, add mushrooms and peppers cut as desired and fry with onions. Add the chicken meat.
   Add the remaining vegetables and cook for 10-15min. Place rice, make soup if dropped and let boil until they all. Finally, put the tomatoes and spices, give it a boil and sprinkle with parsley.
